Super Summer Season in Store at Naas Racecourse
Naas Racecourse is excited to announce the details for its upcoming 2024 summer season, continuing the success of its popular Summer Racing, BBQ & Live Music Evenings at the Kildare track.
The season kicks off on Wednesday evening, June 26th, with a performance by well-known band, After Dark. This event features the Listed Al Shira’aa Racing Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial. Notably, the 2020 race was won by Ger Lyons-trained Even So, who later triumphed in the Irish Oaks at The Curragh, and last year’s winner, Library went on to finish third in the Classic, highlighting the race’s significance.
The second Summer Racing & BBQ meeting, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, July 6th, coincides with Naas Town Goes Racing Day. This day aims to get the community involved with their local track and has something for everyone, including thrilling races, a summer BBQ, family activities, a charity mascot race, and live music from band, No Limits.
The final Wednesday evening event will take place on July 24th, featuring the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Irish EBF Stakes and trad band Rake The Ashes playing live after racing in the enclosure.
BBQ packages start at €30, with the BBQ Pavilion Package available for €55. The BBQ Pavilion, located next to the parade ring, includes admission, a race card, a full BBQ meal, a reserved table, and access to live music after the races. General admission tickets are also available for €15, covering both racing and music.
Niamh Byrne, Marketing Manager at Naas Racecourse, said: “The Summer Season is my favourite time of year here at Naas. Our caterers, Lily & Wild do an exceptional job, providing a delicious BBQ experience that truly enhances the evening.
