About Racecourse

Roscommon Racecourse is a hugely popular and well attended venue in the west of Ireland. Primarily a summer track, the course hosts both Flat and National Hunt (jumps) between the months of May and September. The majority of meetings are held in the evening time and are popular with locals and tourists alike. The Listed Lenabane Stakes is the stand-out event on the Flat and the Kilbegnet Novice Chase and the Connaught National Handicap Chase are just two of the top jump races at Roscommon. The racecourse is situated only minutes from Roscommon town centre on the Castlebar Road.
